Kielty a hit with the Red Sox

How about Bobby Kielty, eh? In seven games since joining the Boston Red Sox, he is hitting .348/.370/.522 in 23 AB. He’s provided some excellent defense (everyone remembers that grab at the bullpen wall), hit in some key situations and already has 8 RBI, and played in right, left, wherever he has been needed. Let’s not forget the effortless bunt hit yesterday up the 3rd base line which started a four-run rally, and Kielty even homered yesterday off of Javier Vazquez, who has been the White Sox’ best starter this year, and almost homered the game before. Not bad for someone who was tagged to be a defensive replacement and hit lefties (Vazquez is right-handed). The way he plays the game has really helped to spark the Sox, I think.
