Lugo’s back a concern

Julio Lugo is experiencing lower back “tightness”, but I think it’s something more serious, judging from the length of time it’s been bothering him, and that it’s serious enough for the Sox to sit him. They now say that they will not rush him onto the field, even with Opening Day looming. Josh Beckett has also been mentioned as someone who may or may not be ready when the season begins. This should turn into a significant opportunity for shortstop Jed Lowrie, who is considered by many to be Major League-ready.

As the Spring progresses, it becomes clearer that it was a very good thing we did not trade away Jacoby Ellsbury, Jon Lester or Lowrie.

I really hope it’s not to serious. The three injuries we have are on three pretty good players. Lets hope at least Beckett and lugo get better soon, I know Shilling will probally take a while if he is ready at all this season.

I think Lowery will do us proud, I am one who thinks he is ready.
And thank you for not trading Jacoby and Jon,, and Lowrie, I did not like that idea at all. I did not feel Johan was worth it. Maybe he was to some, but not me.

Jon is going to shine this season watch and see…

The latest is that both Lugo and Beckett are feeling better. It seems like a muscle issue for both of them, so it should just be a matter of time. So long as they don’t rush back too early, they’ll be fine.
