Breaking down Buchholz

For those who are not familiar, there’s a nice blog called Driveline Mechanics where they analyze pitchers’ stuff, mechanics and evaluate what they do well and what they don’t. This helps determine how much of an injury risk they are in the long term. Great resource for those who are pitching-inclined.

Their latest entry might interest some of you out there: it’s Clay Buchholz.

It’s pretty involved, so don’t go there unless you are really into pitching and scouting. Spoiler: he’s got very solid mechanics and should thrive for many years. Not an elevated injury risk, making him real valuable to the Red Sox. Nice.
