Sox bolster infield depth with Wilson

The Red Sox picked up another player from Pittsburgh yesterday, trading a PTBNL for 27-year old journeyman Josh Wilson. He is known as a smart baseball player, has decent pop for an infielder and utilizes his above-average speed to his advantage. The right-handed Wilson has played second, third and shortstop, as well as a little outfield, and has seen some time with the Marlins, Nationals and Devil Rays. He has posted a .281/.338/.417 line in 9 minor league seasons.

The Sox are apparently looking at Joe Borowski as a possible bullpen depth addition as well, though JoBo has been clocked in the mid- to low-80s this season, signaling a physical problem or decline.
