Links: Another reason to hope, Pedey’s power outage


Red Sox Nation should be encouraged, considering we’re still atop the division despite all the injuries and poor performance of the rotation (until this week, that is). The AL East seems like a pretty tight division, until you go and look at the strength of schedule figures. The Sox have played the toughest schedule in our division thus far, and we play first place Texas tonight. When we get to the easy part of the schedule, we have the opportunity to put some distance between us and the rest of the pretenders- uh, sorry- contenders.

David Pinto reports that Dustin Pedroia’s lack of HRs this year stems at least partially from a nagging groin injury. Let’s hope that heals up soon.
